Incapacitation- This process is simply created for keeping the criminals and violators away from the society for the public welfare. Thr general public is to be protected from any misconduct. Thr pdeath penalty or banishment have served the same purpose.
Rehabilitation – These procedures aim at transforming an offender into a valuable person of society. Its basic aim is to prevent further offenses by convincing the offender that their activity was wrong.
Restoration – This is a punishment theory of victim-orientation. This aim is for repairing through the art of authority and inflicting injury upon the victim by the offender. Restoration is usually merged with the other main aims of criminal justice. It is deeply related to the concepts in civil law.
